I would like to congratulate the Masters/Classics mixed Team, that played in the St. Albert tournament, August 19th - 20th, 2006 for taking home the GOLD MEDAL!!! I would also like to thank Wendy for her hospitality allowing us to have a FANTASTIC BBQ at her place! All in all, it was a great weekend! Can't wait until next year!

I would like to say we took home the Gold in Penticton (2005), but that was not the case. It was a hard fought battle only having 11 players, but MC United held their own providing some exciting soccer! More so, the players and spouses provided some exciting post game get togethers which made this 'road trip' quite memorable. I can't wait until next year!!

---The MC United Soccer club wants to congratulate both the Men and Master's teams for their performances in the 2005 Millwoods Outdoor Tournament. They took the third and fourth spots respectively!

Just wanted to update you on the MC United Classics ladies teams and our weekend.

We entered the Red Deer Classics Ladies tournament on the weekend with our World Masters Team called "Divas", there are approx. 11 ladies on this team from the MC United Div 1 team ......so I guess you could consider us the majority! This was our first time actually playing together as a team. I am happy to say we won the tournament!! The tournament had 4 tiers, we entered Tier 2 and after winning in a shootout on Sunday morning made it to the A side championship final game at 4 p.m. We were down 1 -0 in first half, then came from behind and tied it in the 2nd. Game ended in another tie and we won the tournament in a shootout! $400 !!

Our Div 3 MC United Classics ladies team also entered the tournament and I am proud to say they made it to their Tier 4 B side finals and won in a shootout!! $200!! We should be very proud of these ladies as for many of them this is their first time playing soccer ever.

So it was a great weekend for the MC United ladies!
